Church Bells / Richard Norris Endless mix

Part of our Concrete Antenna / Revisited project

Concrete Antenna is a 12” vinyl set of music, art prints, essays and a specially created tide table created by Simon Kirby, Tommy Perman and Rob St John, inspired by their sound installation in the landmark tower at Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop which ran from March 2015 until June 2016.

To accompany our re-issue of the album in June 2022, we’ve released Concrete Antenna / Revisited, a series of remixes by artists including Richard Norris, Miaoux Miaoux, SHHE, Lomond Campbell and The Open Path.

Richard Norris has a deep and broad history spanning decades of dance and electronic music culture. The Grid (his partnership with Soft Cell's Dave Ball) enjoyed a run of successful albums and ten UK hit singles, including Balearic classic Floatation and the million selling Swamp Thing. The Grid also produced and remixed artists including Brian Eno, Yello, Erasure, David Sylvian, Happy Mondays, Pet Shop Boys and many more.

Recently Richard has released a series of ambient and deep listening electronic albums on his Group Mind label, recalling the ambient and kosmische sounds of Eno, Cluster and Harmonia. His Music For Healing deep listening project is currently being trialled by the NHS for roll out to patients suffering from stress and anxiety related issues.

Electronic Sound magazine calls him ‘tone of contemporary music’s most respected innovators… the electronic musician’s electronic musician’, whilst Time Out New York referred to him as an ‘unhinged sonic magician’.
